An emotion sharp like a needle
Piercing deep through my heart
Mixed with feelings alien to me
Beckoning me to change my path
Chasing my dreams I flew afar
Never looked back where I began
Life was an abode of surprises
Every trail was a new experience
I searched for peace everywhere
My quest always ended in despair
Finally I went back home exhausted
Physically and emotionally drained
To that comfort undefinable by words
To a realisation where happiness lies…
Her furry blanket veiled the blue sky
Building barriers to stop craving hearts
His magnificent blue eliciting charm
With a spell to stupefy his admirers
The stream stood still with no waves
Trees shed their leaves for better view
Head over heels the whole nature fell
Mesmerised by his magical charisma
My heart is filled with vibrant colours
Hard to accommodate its brilliance
Blinded by the magical touch of love
Soul is wandering freely unrestrained
Is it the flow of breeze controlling me
Because I am unable to see my way
Lost in the garden full of fresh blooms
Struggling to figure out what I want
Daily prompt – brilliance
Here is my submission for the weekly photo challenge – growth.
Massive he is standing deserted
Abandoned when years passed
Several seasons he encountered
Marked by wrinkles over his skin
Stages of growth he had strolled
Branched and rebranched in time
He was a shelter for all in need
A massive giant and king one day
Time extracted everything he had
Now passing life counting his days
Its always known that there will be a light in the end of a dark tunnel. Though it is a very simple sentence, it projects the message of hope in the journey of life. The darkness of hardships and the light of accomplishments.
This is a well known fact of life. Am I being too philosophical? Though that is not my intention this view made me think philosophically. The sea is still bright and full of light while everything on the shore was engulfed in darkness.
Standing on the shore and watching sea through the coconut tress, I felt as if I am gazing at brighter side of life through a huge window standing in dark. Every sorrows and instances which I went through in my life came gushing into my mind. It reminded me of how I used to sit near my windows looking outside expecting the dark clouds to move away and lit my life with a new sunrise.
Gazing afar I stand here alone
Exploring shades of dawn and dusk
With the little waves talking to me
and clouds watching from above
Scattered clouds,rumbling waves
Breaking the silence of nature
Washing away the sins of mind
To the brighter start of a new day
Here is my submission for this week’s photo challenge!
You might be wondering what a bunch of flowers have to do with this week’s theme ‘experimental’. Let me explain.
I bought my new Iphone 7 plus last May. The only reason I chose 7 plus over others is because of its added camera option of dual lens. The portait mode in this phone gained lot of popularity within few days of its launch.
When I got my phone I was so excited to try the portrait option and was searching for something to click. I was at home and I saw this beautiful bright bunch of flowers standing there. I felt it was talking to me. It was asking me “don’t you feel that I am good enough for your experiment”!
I went near the flowers and adjusted the camera to get the depth effect and then the perfect capture and thus a beautiful portrait image was saved into my gallery.
When the heart bleeds for thy love
to wipe away the tears of loneliness
Searching for the long lost love
Reminding of the days cherished
Memories are the only remains
Feelings are washed away by ocean
Leaving a deep scar in the heart
Swimming in the depth of darkness
Searching for the glimpse of light
Hope is fading away with time
Still I am living holding myself tight…
Weekly photo challenge – experimental
When the rain clouds are swallowing the sky to form a beautiful painting, the green and orange tints of nature creating the ambience…Rustling of leafs and cool breeze playing the most romantic music on earth.. Here he spread his extravagant feathers to attract her..to impress her with his beauty and write a poem of love together.
He waited there graciously
His heart filled with excitement
He spread his feathers wide
Freezing the time in its beauty
He turned round and searched
Every second felt like an year
His mind clouded like the sky
Every moment evoking anxiety
He waited there longingly
He was not tired standing there
Awaiting her was never a pain
He was not alone in the wait
Whole nature accompanied him
For that divine moment of union
Cloudy sky formed the roof
While breeze played the music
Fragrance of love filled everywhere
When the two hearts became one.

When I looked at them, I felt they are mocking at me. They were asking me what luxury and happiness you enjoy more than what we have.
I was thinking what I acquired in life. I live in a city and more than food what I eat is pollution and drink chlorinated water when they are filling their lungs with fresh air and enjoying the fresh water which to an extent we ensured they wont get by extending the pollution every nook and corner of the world. They have greenary, fresh breeze and calm environment around them when our sorroundings are filled with different sorts of noises, hot breeze carrying the smell of smoke.
By massive deforestation along with spoiling the balance of environment, we are taking away the habitats of these animals who also has equal share on earth just like us. These animals are the ones who has everything in lifeamd not us. They have a peaceful life when we struggle every moment sorting out various issues in our life. They have a good relation among themselves when we fight between each other. But can you see the fear in their eyes when it look at you? Aren’t they pleading not to destroy whatever is remaining?
The little one is really naughty. He is busy pulling the bigger one’s tail.🙊
We see the life around us from top
Happy little monkeys we are…
We have everything we need here
Peace is what we enjoy utmost
We have fresh air and water here
You breathe in pollution and dust
We dont worry about our life
But we are scared of you humans
Plants and trees are our world
You take it all for your needs
Have you thought about our life
We also have a share on this earth..
I grew up listening to the stories of the princes, princessess and witches who captures the Pretty Princess in the castle inside the deep forest and Prince Charming riding in his white horse and rescuing her. Not only me, I think there wont be anyone who has not heard these sort of stories in their childhood and picturised in their heads about the thick forests and tall castles.
Instead of white horse I was riding a white scooter when I came across this place. I stopped as I had a sudden feeling of familiarity even though I am visiting this place first time in my life. I walked through the tangled branches touching them and feeling them with my finger tips. I sat on one of the low branches listening to the chirping of birds and rustling of leaves. As usual my wandering mind started travelling to a different world, the world in fairy tales.
The trees were standing apart in the darkness. The world was covered in shadows. Every single sound was evoking fear in them. They always stood there in silence. But the fear was difficult to overcome. They extended their hands to hold each other…To console each other … The more the darkness engulfed them, the more they coiled so that no evil hands can take them away. That made them strong reminding the wise words of unity is strength. They united as one to fight against the shadows as one body and one soul…
Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai
Tangled, coiled and twisted on their own
Difficult to differentiate where it belong
Bathed by the monsoon droplets
Living in the darkness and shadows
Evoking fear in those who passes by
Reminding of the dark castles of fairy tales
My day starts with a cup of tea. I feel something is missing when I dont get it. The fresh aroma and the flavour washing away the left over sleep in my eyes and made me ready to start my day with full energy and bliss.
Even though I had learnt about the processing of tea at school, I never thought too much about it till I saw a tea plantation. I walked amidst the well shaped tea trees arranged in a step by step fashion attracting every eye who has the sense to admire beauty.
The different shades of green covering whole area in a hilly terrain with dew drops on the leaves shining brightly is a breathtaking view. I stood there looking at the mesmerising tea garden. I saw the little leaflets in light green shade which pulled me into deeper thoughts…
How painful it would have been for the mother to pull its newborn from her arms and take it away from her? Isn't it same for the tea plant as well? The newborn leaf of her's is plucked away from the mother ignoring her tears hidden by the dewdrops . Is she aware that her little babies are dried and smashed and squeezed which is further put into boiling water and consumed by people? Wouldn't it be heart breaking for her? She cried for many days bearing the pain of parting and again gave birth to a new one without realising that the fate of this one is also similar..
Chikmagalur, Karnataka state, India.
The freshness of a cup of tea
Give a kickstart to a bright day
The newborn babies plucked
From the mothers arms are dried
crushed, squeezed and pressed
It come to us in a fancy packing..
She gave birth to offsprings again
Without knowing their fate is same.
