Unconditional love…

I believe it is lucky to have people in your life who love you unconditionally, not expecting any favours in return, not calculating the amount of care you get back, not worried whether the other person love you the same way. In this world, where even parent’s love for their children is conditional it’s difficult to expect anyone else will do that.

When I scroll through the news headlines about mass killings, terrorism, religious riots, I wonder where humanity vanished. Is there still kindness, compassion and love in this world?

Looking at these monkeys I realised love and affection has not died totally. You can still feel it around you. Why dont humans learn from these animals. Are they portraying an example in front of us? To live a better life? To keep aside your negative human traits of jealousy, ego, anger, frustration and be happy?

I have been watching what they are doing for a while. Both of them have their babies clinging on to them. They were picking lice from each other, pampering and patting the other one’s baby. They were sitting there showering love on each other. This was an interesting sight which was actually an eye-opener too for me. They are just two she-monkeys. Still the care they show, how they pamper the other one’s baby is something we should learn from them.

When days are dark and cruel

Shadows dancing around us

Threatening to take our life

We hold on to each other

Our love brings rays of light

To brighten the darkest tunnel

Shove away evils around us

Unveiling the beauty of heart…

My leafy home!

A house is an embodiment of lot of things. It is not just a shelter. It is the love amongst people who live in there, It is the result of our hardwork, It is the place we always want to be at the end of the day, whether we are out on our job or on vacation.

Is it just us humans who work hard to make home? I always used to wonder when I see the construction process of buildings; about the effort the workers, starting from drawing the plan till the final enhancements and furnishings. Did you ever thought friends how the animals and birds around us built their houses?

When we look around, we see pretty little nests of birds made from twigs to the small pits of ants, crabs and so on. How many of you appreciate the effort put by them? See this leaf house made by ants. The perfect symmetrical folding, the conical design and overall the elegance is worth appreciating. Hats off to those cute little souls and their excellent craftsmanship! I couldn’t stop myself from sharing this with you all. Have a nice day friends😊

Welcome to my beautiful home

Tailored with lot of hardwork

It keeps us safe under its roof

When Rain and wind compete

Isn’t ours a pretty little house

Incomparable to yours though

Its all we have to protect us

When all seasons play its part…

Weekly Photo Challenge – Layered

They came to teach me a lesson

no one likes to be abandoned

love and to be loved is a blessing

like these bunch staying close

trying to comfort each other

against lashes of rain and sun

every layer pointing out at us

our beauty lies in our unity

promising deep from heart

no power can tear us apart…

Little concerns…

Every living thing in nature crave for love, care and long for attention of someone in their life. A friend to share their problems, a shoulder to cry on, a person who enjoys our presence and companionship, one who love to share our good times and badtimes without any complaints and above all a partner to give hope to move ahead in life especially during the toughest times we encounter, where one’s life and death stands on either sides of a weighing scale awaiting judgement.

Is it just humans, who need someone to lean on during their hard times? Even other living beings in nature sometimes hold on to others for support, just like these creepers clutching firmly on to this huge rock.

Grew up in this glorious forest

Where sunlight was a visitor

Engulfed by the shadows of dark

We were scared and terrified souls

Fragile, frail and delicate beings

Our life was always under threat

Stamped by all without any mercy

Till we found this massive rock

He is bold and brave and strong

Courageous, masculine and manly

Together chose him as our saviour

We trifle around fearlessly now

Feeling safe and sound in his arms

Leaving our life in his mighty hands

Ugrana caves…

Nature always surprised me with a bundle of knowledge, excitement and bliss. Ugrana caves are situated near Karinjeswara temple located near Bantwal, Mangalore. ( I have already did a blog post on Karinjeswara a month ago – “way full of surprises” <- you can read how to reach there and more about the location here).

Ugrana caves were also part of my plan during my last tour. Unfortunately adverse weather conditions forced me to postpone it to another day. Thankfully my wait was not too long. Day before when my friends asked me to plan a short getaway nearby Mangalore, there was no second thought. So finally yesterday morning we were on the way to this amazing destination hidden under the deep forests of Kodiyal hills.

The way to the caves was quite easy with proper steps to climb. After climbing around 100 steps we reached the cave, which is totally inside the forest. The cave was comparatively a small one (around 2 meter) where you have to crawl and there is no light inside. Outside the cave we saw a demolished wall which might have been constructed to make a cover for those who might have stayed inside the cave. I searched for the history in google, unfortunately couldn’t find any. The temple Karinjeswara near this cave has a history connecting all 4 yugas  ( Satya/Krita , Thretha, Dwapara and Kali ). So we can assume that even this cave is part of these historical stories. For your information, a yuga is considered as an era in epics of Hinduism.

More than the cave, the huge rocks and forests fascinated us more. We walked around exploring the place and found a small way through the rocks which led us to a breathtaking forest area surrounded by tall trees, huge rocks and creepers.

It was difficult to climb these rocks and find the way out. Our excitement to see what is there ahead of this passage kept us going. the nature didn’t disappoint us. a spectacular view of a dense forest was awaiting us.

IMG_1766

We walked further ahead through the forest, capturing images and admiring the beauty and wondering about those people who would have occupied this area years before..

IMG_1750

Just like you, even I was wondering whether anyone lived in this area before. I got the answer for that question there itself. We found carved stones in different shapes, but couldn’t interpret and guess what it might have been used for. If you have any idea what this might be, do share your views with me in the comments column. I am really excited to know.

Though the magnetic charm of the place was holding us there, we were running out of time as already evening sun rays started kissing the forest and the place was getting dark. After making the promise that we will come back soon to explore more we said good bye to Ugrana caves…

Kalba Mangrove Forest

Hey all,

Here I am back with another beautiful destination which is hardly known to tourists, neither displayed in the top attractions near Dubai. Dubai is always known to the world as the land of deserts, sky-kissing buildings, luxurious lifestyle and adrenaline-rush activities and sports. I shared a similar belief until I came across this beautiful Mangrove forest during my search for new destinations in and around Dubai. “A lake and a mangrove forest adjoined in the middle of desert!” This information was quite surprising. I decided to visit the place though the questions like whether the place is worth travelling for more than an hour was running in my mind. Apart from that I couldn’t find much information about the place in Google too.

Wadi Al Helo Tunnel, Sharjah – Kalba Road

Kalba Mangrove forest is located 116 km from Sharjah. The Sharjah-Kalba road itself is a feast to travel fanatics. The huge mountains and tunnels in between awes anyone who passes by. Empty roads, quiet surroundings , sunny sky and hustles of breeze were our companions throughout the journey. In an hour and half I arrived at my destination, the beautiful Kalba lake sorrounded by Mangroves which was totally a spectacular view in the middle of the desert.IMG_0729

Kalba lake hosts paddle boating and Kayaking during September to May which unfortunately was not available as my visit was during last week of August. One can opt for camping too in the banks of the lake during these months.

The Mangroves, Kalba.

Though I was disappointed by the non availability of activities over there, I was happy to have a close look at the mangrove trees and explore it and undoubtedly shocked in finding these in the middle of the desert.

IMG_0768

Another interesting fact which I found while examining the rocks over there was the existence of small shell organisms in a cluster on the rocks which I have only seen over the rocks near seas. The beautifully shapes clusters was again a curious sight.

I started my journey back after an hour, quite happy and contented with my findings about my new destination and with an eagerness to share with you my experience though I was a bit late due to my hectic flight schedules and fatigue. See you all soon with a new destination. Have a great day. 🙂

Colors of life..

Charming all with their colors

Painted by God’s own hands

Melting the toughest hearts

Spreading the word of peace

Carpeting the world around

With its soft elegant touch

Gentle, naive and adorable

Away from all wicked hearts

Hurting someone is not us

Still we live our life in terrors

We wear different colours

Still living together in peace

Its only you we are scared of

You cut-short our life afore

Is it because you are jealous

You can’t stay happy like us

A day or two is what we last

That too you aim to cut down

We too are creation of God

Emblazing world is our aim

We live to bring a message

Be like us and enlighten life

Admired and liked by world

Creating an example of life.

Weekly photochallenge – Waiting

When the rain clouds are swallowing the sky to form a beautiful painting, the green and orange tints of nature creating the ambience…Rustling of leafs and cool breeze playing the most romantic music on earth.. Here he spread his extravagant feathers to attract her..to impress her with his beauty and write a poem of love together.

He waited there graciously

His heart filled with excitement

He spread his feathers wide

Freezing the time in its beauty

He turned round and searched

Every second felt like an year

His mind clouded like the sky

Every moment evoking anxiety

He waited there longingly

He was not tired standing there

Awaiting her was never a pain

He was not alone in the wait

Whole nature accompanied him

For that divine moment of union

Cloudy sky formed the roof

While breeze played the music

Fragrance of love filled everywhere

When the two hearts became one.

Weekly photo challenge – Trunk of a Date Palm Tree ( Structure)

Trunk of a Date Palm Tree.

I stood there in the burning sun

No one bothered about my pain

I took every piercing sun strokes

My roots buried under hot sands

They never cared about my life

My juicy fruits were all they want

My skin turned hard and rough

Cracks around was all I could see

I spent all my life in the desert

I lost the count of days I lived

I realized the bitter truth of life

My fruits are all they crave for

I saw my friends losing their lives

When Old age overpowered youth

I stood there with a clear vision

Waiting for fate to take my life…

Enamored of his touch…

Don’t you think even other living things around us also will be having their dreams and fantasies. Are they just sitting idle? Have you ever thought about it? Frankly speaking I didn’t till I saw this capture. A tree enveloped by the green mountains and a thick fog building up around it. This sight made me think. I felt that the tree was waiting for this moment since long.

The tree is waiting for her beloved with thousand thoughts running in her mind. When the sun rose in the morning, her beloved fog went out of her hugs and disappeared into the sky. She was waiting since then. She knew that he will come back soon to her in the evening. Her mind wandered in to the thoughts about him.

She remembered his velvety touch on her leaves. How he arrives and extends his arms towards her and she happily holds him with her beautiful branches. She play with him by trapping him in between her leaves and then letting him go. He enjoys the moment and pamper her more. He thickens up himself to cocoon her fully so that no one else can see her…No one can touch her…She remembered how safe she used to feel in his hugs. A trust that he will protect her from all harms coming to her. A belief that he is there for her…He wont leave her alone in the darkness.

Her thoughts were disrupted with the buzzing sound of cold winds which announced the arrival of her beloved. She looked afar and saw him coming towards her slowly. She moved her branches in happiness. She realized that this is what she want. Her whole day of wait is finally over. Their reunion was celebrated by the nature. Slowly the twilight peeps in and they unite into one. Emotions sublimed and feelings reached its heights and…they became one…
