Unconditional love…

I believe it is lucky to have people in your life who love you unconditionally, not expecting any favours in return, not calculating the amount of care you get back, not worried whether the other person love you the same way. In this world, where even parent’s love for their children is conditional it’s difficult to expect anyone else will do that.

When I scroll through the news headlines about mass killings, terrorism, religious riots, I wonder where humanity vanished. Is there still kindness, compassion and love in this world?

Looking at these monkeys I realised love and affection has not died totally. You can still feel it around you. Why dont humans learn from these animals. Are they portraying an example in front of us? To live a better life? To keep aside your negative human traits of jealousy, ego, anger, frustration and be happy?

I have been watching what they are doing for a while. Both of them have their babies clinging on to them. They were picking lice from each other, pampering and patting the other one’s baby. They were sitting there showering love on each other. This was an interesting sight which was actually an eye-opener too for me. They are just two she-monkeys. Still the care they show, how they pamper the other one’s baby is something we should learn from them.

When days are dark and cruel

Shadows dancing around us

Threatening to take our life

We hold on to each other

Our love brings rays of light

To brighten the darkest tunnel

Shove away evils around us

Unveiling the beauty of heart…

My leafy home!

A house is an embodiment of lot of things. It is not just a shelter. It is the love amongst people who live in there, It is the result of our hardwork, It is the place we always want to be at the end of the day, whether we are out on our job or on vacation.

Is it just us humans who work hard to make home? I always used to wonder when I see the construction process of buildings; about the effort the workers, starting from drawing the plan till the final enhancements and furnishings. Did you ever thought friends how the animals and birds around us built their houses?

When we look around, we see pretty little nests of birds made from twigs to the small pits of ants, crabs and so on. How many of you appreciate the effort put by them? See this leaf house made by ants. The perfect symmetrical folding, the conical design and overall the elegance is worth appreciating. Hats off to those cute little souls and their excellent craftsmanship! I couldn’t stop myself from sharing this with you all. Have a nice day friends😊

Welcome to my beautiful home

Tailored with lot of hardwork

It keeps us safe under its roof

When Rain and wind compete

Isn’t ours a pretty little house

Incomparable to yours though

Its all we have to protect us

When all seasons play its part…

Little concerns…

Every living thing in nature crave for love, care and long for attention of someone in their life. A friend to share their problems, a shoulder to cry on, a person who enjoys our presence and companionship, one who love to share our good times and badtimes without any complaints and above all a partner to give hope to move ahead in life especially during the toughest times we encounter, where one’s life and death stands on either sides of a weighing scale awaiting judgement.

Is it just humans, who need someone to lean on during their hard times? Even other living beings in nature sometimes hold on to others for support, just like these creepers clutching firmly on to this huge rock.

Grew up in this glorious forest

Where sunlight was a visitor

Engulfed by the shadows of dark

We were scared and terrified souls

Fragile, frail and delicate beings

Our life was always under threat

Stamped by all without any mercy

Till we found this massive rock

He is bold and brave and strong

Courageous, masculine and manly

Together chose him as our saviour

We trifle around fearlessly now

Feeling safe and sound in his arms

Leaving our life in his mighty hands

Colors of life..

Charming all with their colors

Painted by God’s own hands

Melting the toughest hearts

Spreading the word of peace

Carpeting the world around

With its soft elegant touch

Gentle, naive and adorable

Away from all wicked hearts

Hurting someone is not us

Still we live our life in terrors

We wear different colours

Still living together in peace

Its only you we are scared of

You cut-short our life afore

Is it because you are jealous

You can’t stay happy like us

A day or two is what we last

That too you aim to cut down

We too are creation of God

Emblazing world is our aim

We live to bring a message

Be like us and enlighten life

Admired and liked by world

Creating an example of life.

Killing beauty…

Sparkling in the gleam of sun

Donning the crown of beauty

She is strong, bold and fierce

Nothing can stop her journey

She is fearless in her deeds

And heeds no one but herself

Her magnetic beauty matchless

Dragging towards her countless

Her magnificence pulls them

Close to her means kill oneself

Still one can’t stop themselves

Their mind under her evil spell

Dragging you to her killing surfs

She is known to take many lives

Still you ignore the warning signs

And you go into her cold hands

Her kisses waiting to wish one

A good bye from this lovely world

Connected by a bridge..

Coorg, the place which is also known as Scotland of India, is a popular tourist location in South India. This hill-station has always been popular for its scenic beauty. She never disappoints the travellers who come to her. She embodies everything a nature lover crave for. From rivers, mountains, forests, streams, lakes, valleys, cliffs, one can find a full course meal to satisfy your appetite to explore the beauty of nature.

Though my goal was to do River-rafting in Cauvery river, as always when my travel plans are made, somehow I end up in places which are less crowded and less visited. Cauvery River-rafting is located near Kushalnagar, Coorg. Almost a kilometer before my destination, I came across this beautiful hanging bridge. It is not built as part of attracting tourists, but it is the only connectivity for the people living in the village across the river. It was a surprising fact for me to see that in real, though I have heard a lot about underdeveloped places having less connectivity with the external world.

Across the bridge awaited me a beautiful village, with mud roads and paddy farms on either side of the small walk way. The villagers around the area totally depends on this small road and the hanging bridge to go to the next nearest town, Kushalnagar.

Muddy pools formed by the rain
has a painful story to say
we were fresh,pure and clear
little droplets blue in color
diamonds were jealous of us
rainbow shades sparkling on us
we hit the ground wrapped in mud
our shade changed into deep brown
we lost all shine and shimmer
living life ignored by all…

P.S. My experience on river-rafting in Coorg will be shared in my next post 🙂

Its our home..

When I looked at them, I felt they are mocking at me. They were asking me what luxury and happiness you enjoy more than what we have.

I was thinking what I acquired in life. I live in a city and more than food what I eat is pollution and drink chlorinated water when they are filling their lungs with fresh air and enjoying the fresh water which to an extent we ensured they wont get by extending the pollution every nook and corner of the world. They have greenary, fresh breeze and calm environment around them when our sorroundings are filled with different sorts of noises, hot breeze carrying the smell of smoke.

By massive deforestation along with spoiling the balance of environment, we are taking away the habitats of these animals who also has equal share on earth just like us. These animals are the ones who has everything in lifeamd not us. They have a peaceful life when we struggle every moment sorting out various issues in our life. They have a good relation among themselves when we fight between each other. But can you see the fear in their eyes when it look at you? Aren’t they pleading not to destroy whatever is remaining?

The little one is really naughty. He is busy pulling the bigger one’s tail.🙊

We see the life around us from top
Happy little monkeys we are…
We have everything we need here
Peace is what we enjoy utmost
We have fresh air and water here
You breathe in pollution and dust
We dont worry about our life
But we are scared of you humans
Plants and trees are our world
You take it all for your needs
Have you thought about our life
We also have a share on this earth..

We are in love💖

Being in love is an amazing feeling. The smile that comes to your face thinking about your beloved. Walking through a crowd with that one person in your head and all everything else around are turned into shadows. Every second of the day passing wondering what the other person is doing and above all the feeling of getting butterflies inside the tummy whenever that person look at you. The goosebumbs on your skin with their touch and more than that the urge to be beside your loved one every second of the day.

Dont you think animals also will be going through similar feelings and emotions? This used to be one of the crazy questions that is part of my day dreams. I got an answer finally when I came across this cute couple. I could feel the warmth of their overwhelming love and attraction towards each other. Looking afar into the horizon they sat there, body resting on the other in a romantic way. The green forest creating the ambience to add on fire and the slight drizzle glazing their mood.

I stood there for a while looking at their posture suddenly remembering that I have to capture this to add to my collection so that this moment will live forever. I went closer to get a perfect picture. They didnt move at all. I felt they didn't even realise that I am standing behind them. This was a blow to my knowledge that animals are quite good in sensing what is happening around them. They were in a different world. A world of their own filled with desire and love, where nobody else has got a space..

Leaning towards the back of her beloved
She dreamt about their blissful world
The early days they grew up together
Days and nights pushed their life further
From the trees to streams and caves
Singing, jumping, dancing and laughing
They were one soul in two bodies
Ignoring the busy world around them
Reassuring about their togetherness
From the day they met till end of life…

Reflections..

Is it just human beings who care about their looks and perfection or do other living beings also worry about their looks? This was a question haunting my mind since long when I look at the beautiful creations on earth. When we look around we see perfectly combed hairs of dogs, cats and cows even the homeless ones with no one to pamper and take care of them. When we look at the birds also we see neatly arranged feathers and whichever living being I look around I can see perfection everywhere.

I have never thought this way about the trees till I came across this beautiful view during my trip to Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai.
The whole area was covered with slim and lean trees branched out beautifully covering the whole area. When I walked ahead, I was unable to distinguish which tree looked better than the other. Which tree is more branched or which tree is more greener…

I reached to a point where a pool was formed by rainwater and the more I went near it I could see the reflections of all the trees around that pool. Though it was rainwater and the soil beneath was muddy, the water was clear and looked just liked a mirror. I felt the trees were admiring their beauty in the water . They were checking out who is better. They were stretching out their branches to reach the pool area so that they can see themselves. Beauty is everywhere. We need an insight to see it… to appreciate it..

The slim lean trees crowded around
the tiny pool formed by rainwater
Reaching out to see their reflection
and fighting between their peers
Branching out to prove themselves
Who is the better one than the other..
