Weekly photo challenge – Trunk of a Date Palm Tree ( Structure)

Trunk of a Date Palm Tree.

I stood there in the burning sun

No one bothered about my pain

I took every piercing sun strokes

My roots buried under hot sands

They never cared about my life

My juicy fruits were all they want

My skin turned hard and rough

Cracks around was all I could see

I spent all my life in the desert

I lost the count of days I lived

I realized the bitter truth of life

My fruits are all they crave for

I saw my friends losing their lives

When Old age overpowered youth

I stood there with a clear vision

Waiting for fate to take my life…

When we visit the Caribbean I am always fascinated with the many varieties of palms, their foliage, their fruit, and of course, their beautiful bark.

Actually ! Palm barks are really beautiful. So symmetrical n perfectly shaped. Me too love watching these finer details.

Thnx .. we hardly check the close structure of barks.. always see the tree as a whole.. may be that s why. I was standing among a lot of palm trees and it caught my eye the perfectly shaped and sized structure on the bark which inspired me to click a pic. This was captured long back and when the weekly challenge asked for structure, this pic came to my mind. Thank you for checking out my blog😊
